MOO Summer Party 2012

MOO Summer 6th Birthday Party

From the moment our first guest arrived, the umbrellas were a fantastic talking point as we munched on Big Apple Hot Dogs and falafel from Hoxton Beach. They had our mouths watering for most of the afternoon with the aroma of frying onions wafting into the office. MOO’s famous sweet tooth was satisfied by naughty but delicious ice-cream sarnies from WOW MOM WOW Ices. A few hours (and a few beverages andcupcakes) later, the real party animals among us danced to some of our favourite pop songs, and to the music of the very lovely and lively Skiffle and the Piffles. In true MOO style, we got creative with Face Painter and The Photo Emporium, whilst others collected MOO stickers and stuck them all over themselves (and other people).

The party was the result of a particular top-secret strategy meeting back in July when a few of us at MOOHQ sat down and said, “Let’s have a party”.

We got down to the important stuff first. There quite simply had to be a bouncy castle, as it proved to be such a big hit at last year’s party. And, of course, no MOO social event could ever be complete without some yummy food and plenty of beer and wine. Teresa and Sally took leadership of the most crucial decisions, managed to squeeze in a wine tasting session and, after much “deliberation”, selected a palatable red and quaffable white.

The floating umbrellas were the brainchild of MOO Creative Director Matt, who sneaked slyly into one of those aforementioned top-secret meetings and began to quiz us on the party budget. With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, he suggested that we buy 800 umbrellas to decorate our car park, and to give away as party favours. Thanks to Matt’s genius production skills, and ability to teach us all how to tie knots, the umbrellas created a canopy of colour, suspended just above our heads, creating an intimate atmosphere whilst retaining the summery mood of an outdoor party.

All in all, a rip-roaring success! Well done to the whole MOO Crew, and everyone who was involved in the creation of a fantastic party. Most importantly, a massive thank-you to all our wonderful customers who have made the last six years of MOO so much fun! Long may it continue.
